Hi there folks,
Cliff here - living and Healesville, Victoria and owning two Kawasaki's.
One is a brand new Z900RS I bought back in January. I have owned more than 20 bikes and never bought a new one until this one, I love it.
The other is a track bike project - a KH100 two stroke. I am having fun rebuilding this for the track, and I am now looking for some advice on the steps I need to take to get rid of the fuel oil tank and oil pump and just run premix in the fuel tank. I am not sure if this is a simple thing to do, or if I am at risk of doing damage elsewhere in the engine if the oil pump is not there.
And of course, I would love to do more to the engine than just a bigger piston, so all advice for improvements for track use would be appreciated.
I look forward to learning some more about these little fun things.

Re: Brand new to the forum - and seeking advice
Welcome Cliff
I came here many years ago seeking advice on my projects. Got plenty of help and advice and have been hanging around ever since.
It has been pretty quiet here for a while though but hopefully someone can jump in, you might have to be patient though.
Cheers mate

Welcome!
My (very limited) knowledge of two strokes says that you will be fine removing it and blanking off as required. Do you have a decent workshop manual?
Are there other guys tracking similar bikes out there? You will have the most fun if there are, and they will be a mine of the best info too?
Keep us posted and post pics!!!

Hi all,
Thanks for the welcome.
I am slowly putting this bike together, spent yesterday fabricating a nifty battery holder only to read today that I don't need a battery for a track bike as it only ever powered the lights (!).
I need to find a KH100 racer and learn more...
