Stick Coils

2008 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R stick coils fitted to my ZZR1200, US $53.77 with postage, delivered to Oz.
With Cory's harness (ZRXOA), all works well.

Interesting stuff.
I like the idea of stick coils on the GPX. I would have assumed that factory stick-coiled bikes would run a crank angle sensor and fire the coils sequentially instead of a much simpler waste spark system firing the stick coils in pairs.
My other concern would be the current draw from a pair of stick coils compared to a stock single coil. Any increase in peak or average current draw could have an impact on the life of the igniter box.

People have been running these in their ZRXs for years without any problems.

I believe that the resistance values of 2 stick coils equal that of 1 conventional coil, so current draw shouldn't be any greater.

What plug gap are you using with the stick coils?

Haven't changed it.
