Aluminium tank repairs

Guys,

I have an ZXR M1 tank that needs some slight repairs. I'd like to have it done properly, ie not just body filler, and I am wary of taking it to any old body repair shop. Does anyone know or have any experience with specialist guys, preferablly in Melbourne?

I'm sure someone does this kind of stuff given the historic racing scene but seems like a bit of a "who you know" in-crowd at the moment. Starting to feel like a catch 22 where if you have a finished bike to show, people will volunteer skills & info, but if you need the skills to get the restoration moving & bike together nobody will help.....

I'm in the same boat, and my tank already has the body filler.....I'm in Melb and hadn't found anyone yet but then haven't looked too hard, if I find someone will let you know.
