here are a couple of shots of The Ghost, taken this morning at one of the local club rides. Looks OK ;) I also managed to go for a decent strop and this old girl goes pretty good for a bike that is 30 years old. Holds a line nicely, suspension all works good, brakes are good - no wobbles or anything at all.

Really happy with that. Put 3 months sticker so this bike will now be the daily rider through to the end of September - back on the ZX12R after that :kuda: . Down the track I will get the bodywork on this bike cleaned up so the tank matches the rest of the OEM paint.

cheers Bonester - it rides really well, just clicked over 42k today and feels every bit like accurate mileage on the speedo. So far it owes me $460 :kuda: and some carbie-cleaner and maybe 4 hours??

What happened to the tank? The pic makes it look like it has been done over with a paintbrush.
Interesting array of vehicles in the background. Is that a 70's-80's club?

My GPZ will owe me nearly 10 times that by the time it is finished! :) Well over 200 hours work so far too. :(

tank was painted with a brush  but its pretty close to the right colour so it will stay on the bike for the time being.......and yeh, that photo was taken on a run with the local Vintage & Veteran club - they have a lot of members with bikes from the 70's and 80's :kuda:

I still don't know whether I should drop the coin on a re-spray for this bike........the rest of the bodywork is OK but not perfect - and only the tank needs painting - of course if the tank gets done then the whole lot will need to be done.

Will think about it next year. Other bikes to sort out in the meantime
