we cant get away with the radial type m/c this is one area that is going to get stomped on in classic racing.is there a m/c in the kwaka range thats larger than the 14mm type i have on the zxr h1
oh come on, i thought the point of historic bike racing was doing it like they did in the good old days.
in those good old days the brake lever was a thing you played with while looking for somewhere soft to crash!
or the old chestnut; if you playing with the brake, your not on the throttle!
I am a bilingual illiterate; i can't read or write in two different languages
Is this bike going to be a P6 bike ? I thought it was just a streeter - well if its going into P6 then the 19mm radial m/c is no good - not period legal unfortunately.
What you could use is a much newer 14mm m/c from a late-model kwakka - OEM Z1000, ZX12R etc - it is just a basic rectangular m/c but they work pretty well. I use one of these on my P5 bike, it works fine with some AP lockheed 4-fin 2-spotters ? Plenty of braking power there. If its good enough for a stock ZX12R then it should be fine for a P6 750 with 4-spotters.
".....shut the gate on this one Maxie......it's the ducks guts !!............."
thanks gosling 1 will look into the later m/c i will see if this stops the fading iam at the thinking its the calipers thow will start with m.c cheers troy

I didn't know they made 14mm m/c Gos? It sounds pretty small for a ZX12 m/c. I thought they would at least use a 5/8 diameter.
captain slow wrote:thanks for that kev i would think that the tokico calipr of the zx9 would be better than the ones of the zxrh1and h2 .the m/c as far as i can tell is fine for know ,if you are going to run nissan caliprs from a gsx i would use the m/c off the same bike .as far a radial m/c in p6 there life will be short lived for they will be cracking down on that sorta thing by the way what year is the b model zx9 cheers troy
for the guy,i can't find the thread 01 02 tokico gsxr 1000 calipers bolt straight up -you said you just bought a track bike and thought the nissan brakes were crap
