GPS purchase
Have read some general talk on GPS's but can anyone recommend a good one that doesn't require a 2nd mortgage to buy. Around the $200 mark. Have iPhone but has a maps app that lasts a good 40 minutes, then lost!

Keep riding, many places to go.

buy a decent phone!
is the problem that your phone goes flat? may be better/cheaper idea to wire a usb power source on your bike
cheap as chips

Re: GPS purchase
Depends what you want. I have a cheap little Garmin car one in a handle bar mount. Got it on sale with free lifetime map upgrades so look around. I don't worry about blue tooth and just look at it. think its the waterproofing and bluetooth that make the bike ones expensive.
That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

Flick the iShit shit.
I use Google Maps gps function on a shitty smartphone. It not only always gets me there, but it also picks up traffic snarl-ups etc and sends me down a rat-run to avoid it!
It's a bit like my late ex-wife* - I just do what it says and don't ask questions!
* No, that is not the same as "Latex wife"!

In the car I use Google maps on the iPhone. The traffic function is boss!
