Upgrade Hi Beam z1000?
Upgrade Hi Beam z1000?
Hi, Could someone point me in the right direction to go please.
My early morning work commute is about a 20km rural highway trek and I am finding the Hi Beam not really that good. What is my best option?
2003 z1000.
Thanks in advance.

I was thinking more like this size.

Having ridden a dirt bike with one fitted, I was amazed by the quality of light.
But it was a good quality one. Not egay.
But yes, still ugly unless you could hide it a bit?

well if it looks gay as a handbag - perhaps I better fit one to your old bike Wattchong !!!ZedOne wrote:Think I'll pass, thanks though.Wattie wrote:Led light bar. Looks as gay as a handbag but![]()

actually, the low beam bulb on your old rig blew last year and I haven't fixed it yet.......the zeddie is parked at my place and is just about to get another 3 months sticker over summer - so the idea of a HID conversion is pretty interesting actually.......

Re: Upgrade Hi Beam z1000?
Yep. I was hoping someone had done it and could say if it was worthwhile....easy/hard etc.Gosling1 wrote:so the idea of a HID conversion is pretty interesting actually.......
Still pondering whether to take a crack at that kit I linked and see how it goes. May pop into my friendly auto elec and see what he has to say.

Nice. I ended up ordering this set, from the same person from my previous link, but found cheaper on Ebay through him.s man wrote:I just put a pair of these in my Ninja 1000 ABS. Big improvement..

Should be here mid next week, although due to that horrible *work* word, I won't get to fit them until maybe the weekend or one after.
I'll post back with results once fitted in case anyone is curious.
