Re- sizing photos?

Hi All,
I'm having trouble posting photos because i cant seem to get them under 280KB.
Any suggestions !!??

Using PC? If so to get you started open pic in Paint, resize to longest side 1024 pixels and save as jpg see what size the file comes up as....

Hmmn tried that and resized it all the way down to 100 pixels and still to large. Not my forte it seems :roll:

Microsoft Office 2010 allows you to edit the picture. If you open Picture Viewer (the one that opens when you double click in explorer) you'll see up the top "Open". If you have Office 2010 (the same functionality exited in the eralier version as well in the tool bar) then on the RHS of the page will be a resize menu. One of the options is to resize for webpages. Don't forget to save it under a different name before you close or it will not keep the change. That should work.

Thanks Dave,
It resized it and still only got down to 30kb and pic is so small you cant see it. :x

Hmmm strange...did you see the "2" Resize you picture?
It has a number of things you can do....25% 50% 75% smaller or add your own size.

After you have down sized the pic ...right click on the mouse as use the "save image as"

Yeah did that. the pic was 1.64Mb to start with and will only go down to 50Kb.
