ZX12R Pricing

Post by Quarkz »

Hey guys,

I've been offered this 2001 ZX12R for $3500. It's got 29500km on it. No rego. I went and had a look at it and it's in pretty good condition. Only real big issue is a few scratches on the LHS fairing from a stationary drop (has also scratched the decals, mirror, bar end & engine casing and bent the clutch lever). It also has some flaking paint on the wheels and armor all (!!!!) all over the tyres. Other than that the paint is in decent shape, yoshi bolt on, gcc tank protector, fairly new dunlop tyres and the engine sounds healthy. I've got too many bikes as it is but have always wanted a ZX12R and this seems like a pretty decent price.

Most ZX12R's seem to be advertised for more but what prices do they actually sell at? Do you think this is a good deal?

Cheers,
Kylie

I used to have one exactly like that one, but with an arata exhaust.
I'd be all over that for that price without a doubt.

$3500 is peanuts even considering visual condition if the mechanicals are good.

Thanks lads. I'm in the process of buying it. Seller is a young guy with no concept of communication. But I will be picking it up this weekend by the looks of it.
