sale price - resonable or am i kidding myself?

hi all.

as you may have seen i have my 07 z750 up for sale.
i seem to be questioning myself about the price,
i originally had it up for 8500 for over a month and go nothing except for scams and 1 guy askin if ill take 4000 which i shot down cause i can get 6 trade in
i have since reduced the price to 8000 which was originally as low as i wanted to go.
i have spoke to a few dealers including the dealer i bought it from (a close friends friend)
they all suggested to put it up between 8 and 8500 as they would ask 8990 for it in the dealership.
it has really low k's (under 7800) which some people may think is mainly shed time, but its not
i ride the bike a few times a month (i try at least 1 day a week on weekdays to and from work) and at least every 2nd weekend for at least 30-45 min
just the distance isnt very long. ive done like 3 decent runs on it.
bike has never been dropped, i have put evotech tail tidy on it, short levers
and always run 98 petrol in it.
tyres are good aswell


my question is - do you all think 8k is a resonable ask?
most bikes around same age have 40-50,000 ks and are askin 7000.

Its a naked Zed & its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it........ me thinks $5.5k - 6K (mainly for for low k's .... that's your trump card!)
Wait long enough & a keen punter might fall in your lap but thats top dollar you are asking.
.......There are 07 ZX10's on eaby not getting any bids at 7K (for some perspective)...... they were 18K new!

yeah, for 5.5-6 id rather trade it in
ill leave it at 8 ONO for a while and see how i go. if i got 7 or more id be happy
the ones on bikesales for W.A are around 7-8

i work at a licensing centre so i might ride it to work and stick it out the front with a for sale sign on it.

There's a green 07 zx10r with 8000 odd kays asking for $7800 ono on another site in Sydney. I guess the market is what it is! The lesson is to not buy new and expect top dollar on sale I guess???

my mate bought a last of the 750's a year or so back for around $10K

those with high kays and ask 7 dont get it

yer i know, its sucks
i just spoke to a guy who bout a 09 z750 from a dealer with 35,000 k's on it for 9500

im not in any major rush to sell it, and i wont sell it for less than 7-7500 cause i can get 6 trade in
the bikes immaculate

Bikes are dearer in WA compared to eastern states. Must be the time difference or something!

we dont have all that inspection stuff to do over here either.

I know how you feel. I had a VTR1000 that i was looking to get around $6k for, waited and waited and ended up at a dealer 5 months later and taking $4k.

Having said that I have sold my race bikes for what i was asking for in no time at all

I guess it like everyone else said, it all depends on the market and what they want.

and they prob sold it the next day for $8K

i bought my monster s4 off a bloke that got $5.5K as a trade on the new bmw s1000

his mate said nah sell it private which he did to me 6 months later for $5500

ive dropped price on bike sales and gumtree to 7800 ONO
ill ride it to work this week and stick it out the front of the office and chuck a forsale sign on it
