Leathers at Midtown
Went into Midtown yesterday just to check out some 7R part prices (I was in the area), and asked about leathers. One of the guys there had this Dainese 1pce suit for sale. Went back today to check it out. It's a bit big, but will be ok and I really need something for the trackday on the 18th so I got it. Getting some Oxstar boots with it too.
The guys at the parts/acc counter were really cool, gave me a discount on some Motul 5100 oil for the 7, and I was telling them about us. I hung out there for a while and chatted away whilst we checked out piccies on the net n stuff (one of the guys there had a cool Motard stack pic of himself on the desktop). I think it is possible to get a KSRC discount, at least from the guys I was talking to anyway.
I know everyone has different experiences with bike shops etc., but I can certainly recommend the Parts & Acc section from my last couple of visits there.
Anyway hopefully I might get my knee down at the trackday, but either way I will feel a lot safer anyway. Just got to get a back protector now, I think I will go for one of the hard style ones that locks together to stop ya back bending backwards if I can find one cheap enough.
Pity about the suit colour....

re: Leathers at Midtown
When I was there in March to get an insurance quote, nobody gives a fark about my existance. It was my third time there and I had that kind of 'We pretend not to see u standing there' respond. And I thought to myself 'Allright, 3 strikes, I'm not coming back here again.'
Out of desperation, I was there again in early May, to get clutch cable, and the guy over the counter was really helpful.
I was there on Monday(2 days ago) to get quote for my repair, realised they have a few new salesgirls, not bad...
Seems like the retail/parts section had put in some effort in improving their customer service.
I shall go back more often and ogle at the salesgirls.
Oops! I mean to see wat they have in store.

Yeah the part guys are really good especially Steve Douglas. He actually rides the Orange Midtown ZX10 in the ASC in the C/D class.
Seen him on TV a couple of times.

I agree,
Steve is a top bloke
He always looks after me when it comes to advice as well as price.
The girl with the short hair in the same department is also cool.
The others... don't know... don't care...

Is this part of the baggy arse look or is this a tear? Just curious.

Hemi... They kinda look a little too baggy for my liking...
Just from lookin' at the pics.
You wouldn't want them to puff up like a parachute when your tearin' round Darlington park would you?

Look ok too me by the time you add a back plate and sit/crouch on the bike they will either look pretty or save a lot of skin.
I would prefer a bit of baggy to the other side of things which is cut you in half tightness....I wont be there on the 18th but have fun.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

RG do you mean the short haired lass with the dreamy eyes? Her name is Carlie, and she's very taken. Sorry, man...
