What a crock of one sided bullshit. I particularly like the analogy of painting fakes considering that some OMCs are using public relation companies and do their annual charity ride to make people believe they are just a bunch of blokes who like to ride Harley's. Yeah and I like to pay more tax.

The public did not ask for it as quoted by Jon Eastgate, actually they did, they always have said no to dickhead criminal organisations.

On one hand we say that the law is failing us and that judges are out if touch with society, handing out lenient sentences. Now the government of QLD has said screw the judges who the public have complained have got it wrong for so long and now we complain about judicial fairness. You got what you wished for, you can't have your cake and eat it.

I couldn't give one toss if I got pulled up every day by the coppers if it meant that one less 1 patch wearing hero is on the street. Fact is I won't, fact is I have nothing to worry, I don't consort with criminals so the chances of riding around QLD with 5 others will result in me being pulled over.

I wonder how many would be crying foul if this law was to catch kiddie fiddlers and not OMCs. Not much difference when you look at some of the charges these dicks have been charged and prosecuted for

Just to lighten up the topic and made me laugh as well.

This was posted on my other motorcycle club's Facebook page and some of the comments made by members:
- The bikie problem in Brisbane is out of control. These guys are blatantly riding around with patches in full view!!
- They also run the biggest distribution network in Australia.
- They even ride on foot paths and terrify the elderly!

That's nice. How about you be the designated decoy forever then? Because I'm pretty sure most people would be tired of that shit after the first week.

Have you not been paying attention to all the other laws they've changed while this is going on?

Agreed MD. We have a right to go about or business without impediment. If a law is written in a way where it impacts the innocent, it needs to be re written.

Happy to be the decoy as it was said with tongue in cheek. Lets be honest, 99.999999% of the population won't get pulled over once due to these laws so the actual effect will be negligible so any suggestion that what I said will in way turn into reality is ridiculous and to focus on that shows we aren't dealing with the facts. I don't hear people complaining about random breath tests, they inconvenience the innocent and largely aren't even targeted (I guess that is why it is called "random").

I will say here and now that my opinion of OMC's is biased as I was inadvertently a target due to being a family member of person who got into a fight with one. My name and family details were mentioned if this family member made a police report.

Claims of 'discrimination' over motorcycle rider ban at Baxter Tavern

MOTORCYCLE  riders are outraged after members of a funeral party at a peninsula pub were told to leave their jackets outside.

A sign on the door at Baxter Tavern reads: "No motorcycle colours or logos permitted in this venue."

etc

Heard they were from Ulysses.

The problem with the laws isn't whether you will be pulled over, it the fact that they can - and then pretty much do as they please. It doesn't matter who the alleged target is, a law that reverses the onus of proof and allows the government to effectively bypass the justice system is a bad law.
I will say here and now that my opinion of OMC's is biased as I was inadvertently a target due to being a family member of person who got into a fight with one. My name and family details were mentioned if this family member made a police report.
My bias probably tips the other way. I have enjoyed the hospitality in an OMC clubhouse, hung out with the 'ladies auxiliary' from a different club and a family member is in a relationship with a member. Never have I felt any fear or trepidation.
But I have been victimised by a member of the police force.
