Yeah sure Stu. Let's not talk about it and we can all pretend nothing's wrong.
Unlike you, I've lived here all my life - and I do see cops hiding with their revenue guns.

Yeah Stu it was terrible last ROT ride to police looked at me one even waved I shit myself, 2 police in 300 k's it was so scary I had to go home and have a lay down. Daisy unlike you I haven't lived here all my life, and in my former job I got to travel the world and see what real right wing governments do to their people, which can be a bit of an eye opener. So for now like many of the ROT I will just keep riding and steer clear of the doom and gloom until Chicken Little comes running back to the hen house telling me the sky is going to fall in. Stu our next ride will be up to Strathgordon to the Lake Pedder Chalet, maybe you can join us?

Sometimes its hard to tell if you really do have your head in the sand or if you're just trolling. You go out for a few rides a year and because the Gestapo don't drag you away there isn't a problem? Try doing 50,000 kays a year and you'll see covert shit like a cop car hiding behind a dirty old Hilux flat tray pointing the ticket machine across the bonnet. Or that stupid woman that I saw jump out from between two parked cars in Charles street Moonah - and expecting the alleged speeder to stop in time. Workplace safety must love that shit.
Just because you have a couple of mates in the force doesn't mean there aren't some dead set arseholes who think a badge and a gun makes them god. Try being on the wrong side of that. When we get a Liberal government (because we have to have a government and they are the least worst option) they will do what Libs always do and have a law and order crackdown. Then you will see the Gestapo come out in force - and chicken little will have been flattened by a piece of sky before she got anywhere near the henhouse.

Daisy I am just trying to run a small group that have fun without all the Bullshit being thrown up at us.

I was fighting for motorcyclists rights long before you discovered the pleasure of riding a bike, so please done not lecture me about have my fucking head in the sand.

As for doing 50,000 k's a year there was a time I travelled all over this country on a bike and I would have done well over 100,000 k's a year back in the day, that is why I owned a big mile muncher like my Z1300-6, and because you travel 50,000 k's a year doesn't mean I don't face the same dangers and problems as you do, 40 years on bikes has taught me at least that.

I don't give a flying fuck about Workplace safety or where the police hide, all I want to do is ride my bike a few times a month in peace and not worry myself into an early grave, if that makes me a Troll then so be it.

I for one are sick to death of the Doom & Gloom bullshit being spread about by alarmist's. On our last ride we had at least 5 coppers who actually hate what is happening up in Qld, and I might add there are also many people who ride bikes who are also assholes and think the sun shines out their own backsides. We didn't get pulled over, everyone seemed happy although a copper did wave at me, scared me silly.

If you are so worried about what is happening to us instead of getting on forums and complaining, do what a friend of ours Jaque Lambe did. She was sick of the bullshit that Tasmanians and the way veterans were getting treated, so she got off her arse ran for the senate got elected and now is somewhere she may make a difference. So to that end, go out form a motorcycle party run for parliament and I sure you will get the votes, I know I'll vote for you, get into power and make a difference.

One other thing Daisy, I don't no if you have traveled much overseas, but travel to Germany like I did some time and talk to old Germans about what real Gestapo did before you talk about Gestapo here in Aust, then you may truly see why people object to that word being thrown around.

Stu if you are not too terrified because of all this doom and gloom talk we are heading for Strathfgordon on the 24th Nov, leaving Richmond at 10am, hopefully you won't be scared off and will come along.

remind me to ignore your posts then.

I am part of the compo & workplace safety team for our local coppers and we do give a flying fuck about their workplace safety. When they get hurt and can't work and face a lifetime of rehabilitation - it costs everybody. You just keep on 'not giving a flying fuck' about something as important as coming home from work alive. Tells me all I need to know about you.

Keep trolling about the issues that you are not facing in Tasmania (yet) - at least Shaun (AMC) does give a fuck about them and is doing everything he can to have these regresssive fascist policies removed. You seem to think that just because it is not happening in Tassie yet - it doesn't matter and anyone who complains about the real and present danger posed by the legislation is just a whinger.

Fuck that attititude to hell and back. It is pacifist attitudes that allow this type of shit to happen in the first place. Or would you be quite happy to suck up to the local coppers and tell them every time you and a couple of mates intend to go for a ride somewhere ? Because that is *exactly* what the coppers in Qld expect all riders - all riders - to do, in order to - quote - 'save themselves from unnecessary harrassment' - unquote. Yep, that is exactly what the Qld police have said.

Eh ? Great idea or what ? Well fuck that for a joke. Daisy is right on the money here. You blokes who ride around thinking it won't happen to me - well bad luck the Vic's are looking at exactly the same legislation as the Qld idiots have just introduced, with a plan to bring it in down there. If the VLAD legislation or anything like it comes in down in Vic - you can bet your sorry arse that the next Lib govt. in Tasmania will be jumping at the chance to do the same.

Gos my apologies I really do care about compo & Workplace issues and for 30 tears of my life with the job I was in I really did care about coming home in one piece so please forgive me for my ill chosen words, but they were said in the heat of the moment.

Another point is that Shaun is a good mate of mine and in fact he rides with the ROT so we are pretty much across what is going on across this issue, and I fully realise that it could come down here. I am no doubt about what is coming to us and I will do the best I can to stop it and I might add I have never said anyone is a whinger, in my view everyone have a right to complain about things but at least use the truth.

Most of the ROT have asked me not to drag us into this issue, we are a riding group so I will leave it up to each of our 200 members to make up their own minds without any bullshit from me.

Having been a soldier I can promise you that I am no pacifist and I think that my work in motorcycle politics in the late 70's and early 80's proves that. I come from a police family and having many good mates who were or are serving police men and women I find it offensive to have them called Gestapo.

Gos in all fairness, you do not know me, you have no idea of what I am or have been so please do not lecture me or attack me, as I would not do that same to you. It is a free country and I fully believe we are still free to think what we want. I have views on alot of things but just because they are my views doesn't always make them right, they are my views and I have a perfect right to have them. I have always tried to make anyone visiting this place on a bike welcome and many times I have welcomed many strangers into my home, and will continue to do so long into the future.

I am sorry if I tried to inject a bit of humour into this subject and show a bit of where we ride. I will never make that same mistake again and from here on I will only be very serious.

I also asked how many KSRC members have been pulled over in Qld and I am still waiting for the answer to that question.

Lastly all I really want to do is enjoy my life, ride with my mates and get on with my life and when these law come here I will cope with them the best way I can, but have no fear I will not be a sheep I will fight as hard as I can.

Gosling1 wrote:the only bullshit is what you dribble, the actual target is 20,000. So yeh the numbers will get bigger because that's what Herr Newman has planned. Read about it here for some informed comments.
These numbers are what the unions would have you believe & nothing to do with the actual numbers of people sacked so as far as uninformed dribble, maybe you shouldn't believe everything you read in a newspaper, informed my foot, straight back at you!
Gosling1 wrote:More uninformed dribble. The compo changes go much further than stopping people double-dipping - that is just one small part of the overall axeing of decent effective compensation cover for poor buggers injured at work because their bosses don't give a fuck about workplace safety. So not only should you sympathise with them, you want to hope like hell that you never suffer a workplace injury and need expensive rehabilitation for a few years. The govt will just tell you to fuck off....
Naked Twin wrote:Storm in a tea cup, whole lot of hot air and bullshit. As the saying goes lay down with dogs come up with fleas.

On a serious note, if people had to pay for their own workers comp, their would be half the claims. If you are seriously worried about being injured at work due to dodgy bosses, leave! If you choose to continue to work you choose to do so. Don't blame others for your choices. Personally I have both life and income protection, I am not relying on others to save my arse.
A shame there are not more people thinking like this instead of ripping the system off, because they can. Don't start me on people being responsible for their own actions, safety in the workplace is the responsibility of all not just a few who feel like it!
Gosling1 wrote:Maybe it will..........maybe it hasn't made one iota of difference at all. The point is, the new laws are about as fascist as you can get without actually just rounding up everyone on a cruiser/HD and throwing them in jail simply for riding a specific type of motorcycle.
Another generalist comment from someone who should know better, but hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion, even you! As usual you think your the only informed person around, others have their own opinions & will fight for the right to have them!!!

As has been said here many times before "Opinions are a bit like arseholes everyone has one"

I discovered that pleasure 40 years ago. I had to give up bikes because I had kids - and because of the harassment from a certain police officer. I don't care that you're offended by my use of the term Gestapo. He was a truly unpleasant piece of shit and I and my family suffered for years because he hid behind his badge. Try being dragged into court for something you haven't done. I wasn't even in the same town, but he managed to 'produce' a witness who said I was - until he fell apart under cross examination. What do you think a cop like that would do with the current Queensland laws? I know exactly what he would do - and that is why these laws are so wrong.

I wasn't suggesting that you don't face the same dangers because you ride less - merely pointing out that because you don't see something doesn't mean it isn't happening and if you rode more it would increase the chances of you seeing it. ;)

Wannabe 1%'ers should take a listen to a real 1%'er and understand exactly the type of crap they are being put through in Qld at the moment.

Listen up right here.

Wanna tell that bloke that Henny Penny is complaining that the sky is about to fall on his head ? I thought not.

aaaah Fred - so now its the unions fault ? Ever been paid an award wage or gotten penalty rates on the weekend ? How about some paid sick leave ? Yeh how about that eh ?

I am quite happy to leave the facts with the statisticians. Fact remains, Herr Newman wants 20,000 less pubes in Qld than he is currently paying, that is not my opinion, dickhead, it is what he has stated on the public record. Time to wake up and smell the roses.

For all your dribble about people taking care of themselves, I would love to see the look on your face, if your misses/daughter/Mum was a schoolteacher who was stabbed at work and now on life-support, just because she was doing her job. Her safety at work is entirely her own problem now isn't it ? She should insure herself against being shot at as well I suppose. Fuck me you idiots who have absolutely NFI whatsoever about the obligations of employers to provide a safe workplace - are exactly the sort of brain-dead dickheads targeted by unscrupulous employers who love nothing more than exploiting people like you and your family as far as they possibly can.

Sure, there are always going to be some assholes who want to rip the system off. The system should be good enough to weed them out. The problem is when all the other genuine claims get fucked over because of the actions of a few dishonest cunts. Then idiots like you think the handful of dishonest cunts represent the vast majority of honest claimants. Total bullshit. Give yourself 45 massive uppercuts.

The coppers rounding up every cruiser rider and harrassing them - once again read the news or watch the tele, this is not my opinion, the information and pictures are all out on the public record. So bash your ridiculous comments about this stuff being 'my opinion' up your arse.

Its not my opinion that the Qld coppers want riding groups to phone a hotline and tell them about the days riding plans. Its fact.
Its not my opinion that even scooter riders in Surfers are being pulled over and questioned. Its fact.
It's not my opinion that the VLAD legislation does not even mention motorcycles or bikies or bikers. Its fact.

So find some facts to reason with - not just more bullshit playing the man and not the ball......if you are capable.

Gos I don't understand!

Firstly I have opinion on this issue, I have served this country, I bled for it so why can't I have my opinion and if I can't it isn't the country I thought it was. Do you think because the guy on the radio is a Rebel I would be scared to voice my view, sorry to disappoint you, but in the past I have had experts trying to kill me, so I wont! I might add I fully respect your opinion on this and admire your belief.

Secondly, again I asked how many riders on this forum have been pulled over in Qld and I still haven't had that question answered, it is pretty simple even a dumb fuck like me can understand that.

It seems that if you do not agree with the party lines on this issue you are attacked, and this is why these fucked up laws will get through because we are too busy in fighting to mount a credible defence.

So when this thing comes my way I repeat I will do my very best to fight it in my way, not what others say how I should.

oh wow. You all talk about propaganda but the steroid taking, drug dealing, prostituting steroid takers who beat to death their own kind at an airport have all sucked you in with their own propaganda.

The QLD laws are on par with the NSW consorting laws.
Yes in this "fascist" state of NSW if you have been charged with an indictable offence you can be charged for visibly associating with others who have been
charged with an indictable offence. Even after a warning!

Ans indictable offence is defined as " An indictable offence (q.v.) for which the penalty is imprisonment for five years or more, or life imprisonment."

Some examples of an indictable offence are:
1. Assault occasioning grievous bodily harm
2. Drug Supply
3. Murder
4. Child prostitution
5. Kidnapping
6. Rape

Im sure many sport bike riders have these kind of charges in their name, and hey, if law enforcers are allowed to hassle these kind of people, then they can hassle anyone!

Again the question is how many fucking KSRC members in Qld have been pulled over under these new laws and why is it such a hard question to answer? Also where is the outcry for the 13 year old girl that was shot in Sydney last night, what about her rights? The fucking silence is deafening.

I haven't been pulled over at this stage, but two of my clients have-
One on a GS500 near midnight Friday night in the street where the Bandidos have a bike shop. Fair enough.
The other during the day near Boonah- old guy on a VN900. Cop couldn't give a shit he didn't have a licence for the bike.(It hastened his visit to me for his licence.) In the end the cop said "I'm going that way, guess you are going the other way.'
BUT cop got him to lift his shirt to photograph his tatts and took down various details. Wonder where the cops get the power to undress you and take pics?????
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.
