More like NO rules for speed cameras.
What a joke. Just because "their" revenue is dropping they change "their" rules to make it easier to catch people!!!!

They've been doing it for a while around Healesville. Tucking into little hidey holes. But the highway patrol always do it so no big change.
That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

Yep clearly the safety issue is only relevant in Victoria, wondar how they work that one out, rolling down a hill 5 ks over dickhead hiding behind a tree, instant criminal. This is the same government that was winging about the fairness of cameras.Go and get rooted you pack of dickheads I don't care if daffy duck is in opposition hes getting my vote.

Re: Vic - new rules for speed cams
Haven't the Vic Police been hiding cameras in wheely bins as well as hiding in bushland with speed cameras for years now??
I don't see how the new laws are much different to the way they have been operating.

No they are a lot different. Yes TOG have been hiding behind bushes and wearing camo etc.
Then radioing further up to get pulled over especially if its twisty roads etc.
But what this is-
Its the cameras in the private contractors cars not the police that this relates to.
So previously they had a whole heap of rules they had to abide by. Such as not hiding behind trees or siting 3/4 of the way down the hill. Which they can now do and of course catch more people by stealth.

way different now... cameras are now allowed , for NO reason, to be sited at the bottom of hills and that is just revenue raising!ZXR750 wrote:...........

previously they were only allowed at the bottom of hills if accidents had been occurring at that location. (which is fair enough imho)
