Guys been trying to find out if a E1 00-02 Akropovic full system will fit on my 99 C2. Pretty keen to buy one but just scared it might not fit but can't see why not. I'm unable to trial it as I will be shipping it in from interstate. I've heard Akro's are the bomb for zx9r's will be hopefully going on my track bike replacing stock headers and a carbon straight through muffler.
Any info appreciated
Cheers Paul

cant think why it wouldn't... similar vintage ZX6rs were interchangeable...

I wouldnt be so sure about it fitting, there were quite a few changes even between 2000 and 2002 models ,swingarm, brakes, forks, subframe so i would realy do my homework if i was you.

C1:
http://www.cornwallkawasaki.co.uk/shop/ ... am&id=4566
E1
http://www.cornwallkawasaki.co.uk/shop/ ... am&id=4423
Part ID for the C is 39178/A
Part ID for the E is 39178
Does anyone know the ID/OD measurements of the Exhaust for C's and E's, this is actually a question that I could use answered also as the exhaust availability for a C model is limited to Slip ons or Second hand from Fleabay.

Those links for Cornwall kawasaki are handy. I notice both systems use the same gasket to the head. Basic shape of headers are the same but the E's have balance pipes. Will be using a custom muffler hanger so don't need to worry about it lining up with a pillion peg mount. Think ill give them a crack. Report back soon. Hopefully happy

Re: ZX9R E1 AKRO on a C2
Well got my akro and thankfully fits nicely! Don't have a stock E pipe to compare but ID on the stock C primary pipes are about 28mm. ID on the Akro is about 35mm. The link pipe is 50mm on the Akro and doesn't have any junk inside it like the C model header secondary pipes. The Akro is much quiter than the carbon straight through can that was on the standard headers. But has a great deep tone at idle and even better song above 8000 much no cackling and just a little pop on throttle close. No time for any jetting changes as yet, Just glad the system fits and looks awesome!
