Brakes... add ons... What are these?

AND WHAT DO THEY DO? :? :?

Just curious. I picked up and old FJ1100 to ride after I sell the ZZR :cry: :cry: and it has these type of brakes fitted. They are not in the manual I got with it.

They sit on both shocks and also appear to have adjustment, not sure what it would adjust

That is a anti-dive set up, on 80's bikes it was all the rage

Anti dive. When you apply your brakes, they're supposed to stop your front end diving by activating some additional valving in your forks.
