First Kawasaki - ER6NL

Post by cshabz »

Hey all,
Names charlie - from Sydney
I'm new to Kawasaki's.. used to have a CBR250rr 92 model, was almost off p's but got disqualified and made me start over.. thought i'd upgrade and loved the er6.. and holy crap, it's restricted but she's got balls and amazing to corner around old pacific Hway
only got it about a week ago - 2 ago.. It's my main commute but mainly work which is about 45 mins through peak hour traffic.. I'm sorry, i'm a lane splitter..

Was wondering if you guys had any recommendations. everyone sounds like they're engineers in bikes!
I was thinking a fender eliminator & different mirrors.. Don't know which though.

Cheers, thanks in advance.
Charlie

I had a ER6n for a few years. Nice bike to ride. Mine was sent to God by a SUV. All I really did to it was put a radguard on (after a stick rattled around and flattened a lot of the fins), heated hand grips, and got the suspension sorted. If you're going to sell it soonish keep it stock. Down here in Vic anyway fender eliminators just attract the cops.
That is why God made fast motorcycles, Bubba.... Hunter S. Thompson.

Welcome Charlie!

Little round ones on bar ends look cool. Have ridden with them a few times but can't remember how well you can see out of them

Welcome Charlie wave.gif spoilt for choice, I would go for Bar ends as Tim mentioned, ebay for an eliminator, heaps to choose from like this:

MCAS have universal ones & the indicators to suit, give em a call or check out their site ;)

How do you rate the ER6 against its competitors as a LAMS bike? I ask as a mate is about to do the same and is in the market!
