NSW. Rego stickers no mwoah!

.....Wish we had a reminder service like that in SA. I want the stickers back because this numpty forgot to Rego the yoot and got booked for it, only a week out so it was a minor fine and all because I was out bush for nearly a month so I didn't have access to my mailbox.
it also would not have helped having a sms reminder as there was no mobile service either.....

that sucks mate. Maybe stick a reminder on the back of the sun-visor with a big date texta'd on it ??

I've seen some small reminder stickers available from mechanics in NSW who do the pink slips.
Sort of defeats the purpose of not having a rego label though......

If you buy a new bike, you don't pink slip it for 5 years ....

I dunno - I have 3 cars either regoed or awaiting a new period of rego (Prado, Dunnedore, Celica) and 1 on the way (Shagwah) - and 5 bikes with current or shortly-to-be regoed (Pearl, MFP12, s1250/3, z650, Gpz1100) with another 3 on the way (GPz1000RX, z750 dirtbike and z1B) - so thats 12 vehicles all up, with 8 currently either registered or awaiting their turn.

Its not hard to keep track of these - every rig has its own folder with all rego details etc - just look at them and know when they need renewal. Its not hard. I don't get at all, how remembering a renewal date for only 1 single vehicle can be difficult ??

People whinge about 'nanny-state' stuff all the time.....and as soon as we have to think for ourselves - then its the governments fault for not reminding us !!! Can't have it both ways......

paying for it is a pita

whats really annoying is having to get a pink slip on the bike,

I dont know how you remember too keep track of all those vehicles, must have a cushy job to give you that much time, thats enough vehicles to create a fleet managers job aye!


I dont have as many rego's to worry about and as I have explained before I drive a lot of customers vehicles and fleet vehicles and now we have to spend an extra 10 mins checking the rego out online before anyone drives any of them, i cant see how this is better for anyone as it adds more to their bill and I waste time which wasnt required before. I suppose red tape and creating more of it is the way of life for some of us


i am not whinging at all I am actually saying bring back that level of governance (rego stickers), very left wing of me but it is how it has worked for decades and yeah its old tech but it fuckin worked good and a whole lot easier to remember to remember to look in some file inside a house amoungst all the other paperwork junk when all you do is look at the windscreen where there is a handy sticker with a big fukoff expiry date so even the numtyiest of numptys cant miss it.

All you care about is a stoopid sticker on the back of your bike and the fark you attitude towards mr and mrs public average numptywits, next thing you will be wanting FNP's, higher ctp, lower speed limits, compulsory headlights on for all road users and hi farkin vis



In otherwords I dont have time to be worrying about rego as I have better things to do and rego labels made it easy for us outdoor types.

yeh it is a lot like managing a fleet. Lucky we get the option of 3 months rego here, a lot of the bikes only ever get 3 months sticker......and 2 of them on club plates its only $100 per year for these. Hoping to get at least 1 more on club rego before the end of this year........there is no way in hell anyone could afford full rego for 12 months on all of these rigs. At least a lot of the bikes are or will be eligible for club rego inside the next couple of years....

Historic Rego is under the conditional regn scheme. They all require labels.

same here in ACT - any vehicle on Club rego still gets the rego label. I think its because the authorities reckon that anyone using a bike or car on club plates must be an old dunger, therefore is liable to have Alzheimers, and therefore heh where did I put that toothbrush ??
