Re: Up your date
Sorry for my absence of late. I've been pretty crook and have been dosed up on la la land medication, so it's been difficult to read computer screens and phones. Hence no ksrc or fb. Also I've been saving my data allowance for emails etc to save money.
So to fill you in on where things are at, I've completed bankruptcy proceedings, done the tax and applied for a disability support pension. (man...is that hard to swallow.....being a fit and active guy all my life It's really been the most confronting part). Centrelink have had me jumping through hoops, but a phone call today informed me that I need to fill out one more bit of paperwork and have my medical assessment Monday and then they will start paying me. So fingers crossed some coin might be arriving in the next two to three weeks.
With firstly using all my savings, then selling some things and with the wonderful help that some of you have given me, I have managed to make it through this horrible two year issue so far. With the arrival of a little money I can now start to pay back those friends who have helped me out, pay my rego so I can drive again and then start saving for a house to rent. The caravan has kept me warm n dry, but it would be nice to have running hot and cold water rather than jerry cans and a pot to heat the water, a shower inside..... out of the cold and wind, a toilet you don't have to fill the cystern with eater each time you want to go, a kitchen with an oven and electricity and gas mains connected. The little generator has done 1500 hours so far and is getting tired. Thats like 150,000klms from that little stationary motor. Cudos to supacheaps blackridge BRG2500.
Things haven't been smooth sailing of late though. Astro for a bone caught in his throat and had an emergency vet visit....$800, then I lent my car to the gut who rents the granny flat on the property and he forgot to put the handbrake on or leave it in gear. It rolled down the hill and smashed into my caravan damaging both. And the bastard has no money so can't pay to fix them. Then the icing on the cake, Zsa Zsa got her chest and guts ripped apart by a big male kangaroo and needed emergency surgery another $500.
So, while things have taken a few steps forward overall, there has been lots of backwards steps in between.
But, all in all I still have a smile on the dial and although physically beaten up, the head is still positive. Sometimes I think I must be just too dumb to realise how fucked up things really are......
I have my Fingers crossed that even though the health is giving me grief right now, that I will see some improvement soon.
I have set a goal. Which is to make the WSBK at the island in Feb 2014. I probably won't be riding down as I don't have a bike and also healthwise, I think that might be optimistic, but at least get down there to watch the racing Sunday at worse.

Re: Up your date
Good to hear from you Marty, & good to hear that you can start to rebuild your life, I am sure I can speak for most & say we cant even start to imagine what you have had to endure & its a credit to you that you have kept chipping away at trying to get things straightened out.
Fingers are crossed that you come good health wise in the near future
