New fuel economy record ZRX

Post by bonester »

21.35km/L on a trip. Previous tank was 20.8km/L. Awesome for a carby 1200 I reckon.
Was 13km/L when I bought it. Rejetted on a dyno.
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

So how many K's was that before you hit reserve?

I went away on the minibike (the Z1000) last weekend, doubt I would have got good economy though  Not that I was trying ;)

292km hitting reserve. Originally the bike used to hit at 192km- 13km/L. A mate with a Z1000 gets 15km/L. Gonna service it for him soon. Hoping that will improve afterwards.

Speedcams spoiled my fun. Toowoomba to Port Douglas was the trip, and musta seen 6 or 7 speedcams. Still got a guilty conscience for some of the trip. Hopefully none saw me.   Sitting on 110-120 most of the way.

Wow that is pretty bad compared to a Fuel injected model... my 2012 DAEG model does 7l/100kms :D
