The Queen's dead, long live the Queen!

Post by SNAFU »

Well sadly Blaster has been written off 20 K worth of damage to the big girl. But fear naught she is being replaced by WICKED! A brand new 2013 ZX14R SE black and green model.

Sadly it looks like I will take a bit longer to get back. I have found out not only did I break my collarbone I also broke 2 ribs, one in 2 places and put a hole in my lung which is causing me a bit of trouble at the moment.

I nearly fell off the chair at the doctors office when I asked him if it was too soon to start riding again. He just sat there with a stunned look on his face then launched into saying that I was nearly killed, I have some scary injures and all I want to do is go riding, I am nut's.

He then looked at Shirena to which she smiled and said "doc he isn't going anywhere for a while if I have anything to do with it".

So I guess I know what I'm doing for the next month or so, a lot of TV, and PS3 I guess, unless I can sneak out on Max for a small ride! Lol!! So until next time see you on the road soon.

TTFN, Dutchy :D :kuda:

i feel your pain.
i'm laid up with a smashed ankle; 6 more weeks completely no weight on it, then up to another month of physio to get back (not bike related accident)

ps3, movies, laptop, (prescription) drugs and loads of sleep are the best way to waste time while the healing happens
I am a bilingual illiterate; i can't read or write in two different languages

Damn! Sorry to hear the bike is a loss. I didn't think this was a massive off, where did the 20k come from? As for your injuries, here's hoping you heal up quick, and heal up well.

Mate it is pretty simple it was a combo of a few things. !, damp road, 2, cold tyres & 3 me being stupid. I pulled out of a mates drive way slide sideways tried to recover whip bac on me and high sided. After 42 years of pointing these things you would think I would know how to ride, but I forgot just how much power these beasts can put out. The good news was that Shirena wasn't on the back. I woiuld have never forgiven myself if I'd hurt her, only I paid the price for being an idiot!

Cya Dutchy!

Wow mate hope thing are OK with you? The bike will be replaced, but body parts are a bit harder to come by !
I know what you mean about ribs, I broke all of them on my right side, both front & back, & turned my lung into confetty.
They take a while to mend, so take it easy mate..

Words I like to try and live by,

F**K Doctors, they spend 7 years in medical skool and yet getting the sunzobitches to COMMIT to something rather than using the engineer stand by "thats interesting"

Same twats that told me I wouldnt be able to ride ever again,

Couple nurofen plus and HTFU

Well today I order the new bike Blaster 2. Hopefully I won't break this one. As I stated before I have settled on a new ZX14R and am having the fins painted black and removing most of the stickers. I haven't fully decided what exhaust I am going to fit although I think I may go back to a Two Brothers again. As for me I am sick of doctors because everytime I go to one they tell me I have something else broken. So far 2 broken collar bones, 2 broken rids and now 2 broken clavical's (bones that join the sternem) and a damaged lung. I am also sick of sit around on my bum so hopefully I will fire up old Max and go for a ride next week if Sgt Shultz's (Shirena) isn't watching too close.

Yahoo! Blaster 2 arrives today. She was picked up yesterday and being delivered to my local motorcycle shop. Over the next week she will be registered here in Tassie, Pazzo levers, new Two Brothers Carbon cans, Scott Oiler, a stack of Powerbronze gear and lot of other stuff and she will be ready to ride.
