What's a comfortable max speed on one of them, as in a speed you could sit on all day happily?
I've actually just bought one in NZ and will use it for "touring" when I go over, it's down about 5hp on my enfield but is about 50kg lighter so I'm thinking I'll hopefully get the same kind of "performance" out of it ..... Slow and steady

Theyre a good little rider training bike, we had them at rightstart when i wa there. Bonester will know plenty, as training bikes they get put through a bit?
Theyd probably be fine scooting along at 100, just watch the overtaking

I got a 2006 model with 18000km for A$1600, if we are happy with it we'll buy another one so we can do some touring (wouldn't want to two up on one)
They sit on 100km/h just. Make sure you check the oil regularly- no oil pressure light. Roller bottom end is tough but needs oil. 35km/L when running properly. They crap stators a fair bit too. This is hit and miss though- one of mine has done three, two have done one. Other two none.

A Crapped Stator would mean no spark and no go right? Is it an easy job to replace? i.e. side of the road fix if you have a spare? Because we'll have two bikes I'll get a few spares like levers, indicator (will one indicator fit any position?) etc.
Nah battery just goes flat. The pickup for the ignition is separate. A 2006 model would have been manufactured in China BTW. Suzuki paid a Chinese company to make the whole bike for the NZ market. I tried importing some but couldn't. They were $3300 NZ new. (around $2500 Aus) This is why I reckon the current TU250 is a ripoff at $5500 or so here. Much the same bike.... The stators are a piece of piss to change but you'd need a gasket. There is a plug under the seat with three yellow wires. Disconnect it and run the bike and rev it- you should have 50-70 VAC between all the phases, if not she buggered. Test continuity to ground- all three wires should have no continuity to ground. If it passes this test it should be OK. The other two wires coming out of the LH sidecover are for the ignition pickup.
