Cool! Someone was talking to me about these last week. He was saying that part of the thrill of them is that they've put small(er) tyres on them so the experience of driving them is more of a thrill, closer to the edge so to speak. Looking forward to a report Joe

Correct, Prius Tyres are used. Built really hard to reduce rolling resistance which improves fuel economy.tim wrote:Cool! Someone was talking to me about these last week. I took it up Bells Line rd. yesterday to get a few more km's on it & I can say I am impressed the way it handled, stays very flat in the corners & I found the tyres good considering what they are, I think
it may be the car that helps in that regard. Every corner seems effortless when following traffic you feel like "god this is slow" & then look at the speedo & notice you are going faster then you think.
The thing I have read say that the Subaru is 10% stiffer in the front & a tad softer in the rear than the Toyota witch gives it more rear grip & not as tail happy.
Yesterday the rear did move around a little above $1.10 on crests with corners but nowhere near tail out just a bit of a shimmy, I took it a tad easier in the torrential rain on the way back & the tyres were fine.
It was fun & I stayed dry in the torrential rain but it's not even close to the 7 up there.
