electrical problems

I have 1986 GPZ 1000 RX with a problem bike was running fine.only just purchased bike thought i would give it a good service changed oil all other fluids fitted new plugs then went for a run went fine for about half an hour then motor just shut down like it had run out of fuel it restarted ran fine for 5 minutes spluttered and stopped again several times backfired.pulled plugs out to check looked fine.checked coils metered up fine now the bike wont rev out just splutters but will sit idling fine. any one had this problem

Sounds like it could be more fuel problem ?

I did with a ZZR11, idled fine, coughed and died when revved, twas the fuel pump and finally went completely in THE MIDDLE OF NO-WHERE...as they do.
Actually pump was fine it was the wiring that had slowly corroded through. :D
Policy - Find something simple.....and Complicate it!

fuel was my first thought completely drain tank thought it might have been water clear as,it has small in line filter checked clean as,
Not sure about fuel pump(carby),better have a look at caps and leads maybe. thanks bear/seiko :?

just sorted the electrical problem out caps and leads where the culprits made up new leads fitted new caps
fired her up sweet goes like a cut cat again.

I need help reducing image size. I have some nice pics its in really good condition.
It was sitting in a shed for couple of years.Started every now and again.

There's a free download called Photoscape. Easy to resize images with that

Just open the photos in 'Paint' and re-size to 50% or 75% .....whatever you need. Upload to photobucket and just link the image back here with the [IMG] tag.

wish i had kept mine never had a problem but had 2 engine rebuilds and rote it off once and rebuilt it when i finaly got rid of it for a cage it only had about 50k on the clock ( for the second time )
If it aint broke don't fix it just gain more horsepower
