BIG Guys track bike
Re: BIG Guys track bike
Agree that the 14 is a bit tight for my legs, am goingto need new boots before long!
Have narrowed it down to a crim or a gumby, but need to offload the berg.
Had a look at pretty clean 06 at a dealer and did notice the stator cover had a nasty sealant job done in the past, is there any known issues with the electrics?

For your size a 10 is probably more than appropriate! I enjoy my 6 alot and at EC last week was eating litre bikes (only in medium fast though
) but the track really does reward corner speed. If QR is more stop start and with 120kg you'll be wanting more punch in the not too distant future!

Personally I'd go for a ZX9R; just prefer them to the 12 but either way they're both good bikes!

Thete is now an 05 Crim in the garage!
Time for the strip down to see exactly what I bought.
Are there any items I should specifically look for? I plan to give the shock and forks a birthday and all bearings, oh and the brakes. How did these things leave the factory with such a long spongy lever?

I plan to give the shock and forks a birthday They need the geometry adjusted a bit to get them to steer better and the valving is a bit old school compared to new bikes and can be improved quite a bit. If you are doing the suspension, you might as well fix it properly so that it works a bit better.

So are there any Nissin calipers out there? All the wreckers in Brisbane look at me funny when I ask about them. Gappy to pay well for them if in good nick.
