I got burned by the same guy. Sure he was in the wrong , no question.sometimes life is not fair.
So no one was speeding, or doing anything above the law?
For 4 days I watched you guys ride 6" off each other at speeds well over 150km an hour, which is cool if that's how you want to ride, who doesn't like going fast! Me included!, I couldn't keep up in most parts , as mine only does 150 km/ h!.
You are too good.
Being called an fn idiot is very un Christian !.,
Just saying, he was in the wrong , no question.
To say everyone is a law biding citizen is quite funny. I won't post anymore for fear of upsetting any fine upstanding members of the community.
You didn't answer the question!

Who are you?

I know your not referring to me as I've never ridden with any of you boys but just from my point of view, I can state I personally have never used the other side of the road into blind corners EVER and if someone does its beyond comprehension that they are still even alive.
Just my point of view, that if that's the case its quite an amazing feat they are still living.

Read into that what you will.....

But if its true then "glass houses".......
Blind corners is a whole new ball game.

That's exactly what I inferred..........BLIND corners. Huge statement and you would have a death wish not just you but possibly the bike or car coming the other way.

Suppose it depends on who is riding it though.............

Most bikes go over 150 but not all riders can lol

Fair enough don't know mick or whoever this other bloke is.

Stands to reason he was riding pretty fast if he was following for four days though.....

You should be a detective Wattie!, yep , it's Mike, didn't mean to be derogatory ,
Yep, they will go over 150!, just didn't bring a faster bike , for which I have 3 others,
Great ride, good fun, except for the truck, I suppose I'm used to getting run off the road
By logging trucks from our property down sth coast.
Still doesn't make it right though.
On a lighter note, if it was my footage, I'd keep it in hindsight , as we don't want hwp up there also.
Getting to the food, Omeo sausage rolls were awesome!,
Cheers Phil! Next year sbk we are going over the snowy via cooma, re the dirt to avoid traffic

@Nelso - I guess it's all about perspective, and if from yours it seemed safe enough then that's cool. From my perspective - flattened and distorted as it perhaps was by a lens and a laptop screen - it seemed a bit loose.

Don't get me wrong, I think the truck driver was a dick, I just personally wouldn't cry poor, especially to the local constabulary, if I wasn't certain I was first without sin. YMMV

@MickLC - I wouldn't want to suggest you we're riding like that, and even if you we're my perspective comment above holds equally true. Sorry if you took this as aimed at you.

I also don't think it's my position to judge the risks others are willing to take for themselves either. It's a bit like the "all the gear all the time crowd" - I agree with them in general, but also respect other's decision to ride in a singlet and shorts if they want to, and don't believe in berating them for being squids. To each his own hey.

Now just to throw a bit more fuel on the fire ....
<devil's advocate>from the truckies perspective, he probably figured your bike is only skinny and doesn't need a whole lane, so he's ok to use a bit of your lane .... or maybe he just hates you :)

^^^^^^^ THIS !!

Harry you shit-stirrer ;) I seen that 800 do the ton on the trip more than once ........

I hope that the local coppers do go and have a chat with old mate truckie. It probably won't change his driving style much - but one thing he will see for himself, is that video evidence of shitty driving can be captured anytime - so if he keeps running riders off the road, eventually the evidence will speak for itself and he will be taken off the roads.

You also forget that the camera is hanging off the right side of the helmet and when I'm hanging off the right side of the bike going through a right hander, so it is a long way inside the bike. With the camera angle, if the white line is directly under me, every part of me is still in my lane, so it can be a bit deceptive. ;) That being said there were a few right handers that were cut on that first day getting that footage, but at no time was it pushing limits or taking risks.

It was the bikes in front I was looking at, but regardless, it's up to the pilots of said projectiles to determine how and where they ride.

I just hope we never see the consequences of two people coming at each other at upwards of 240km/h closing speed both assuming they'll be able to get out of the way *if* something comes around the corner.

Mate, I know you weren't aiming it at me so nothing to apologise for, I was just pointing out that the truck deliberately running bikes off the road is totally different to a rider using the other lane every now and then when it's empty. I only mentioned that I didn't do it to show my response wasn't from being defensive about my riding.
