Black Spur, Chum Creek . Road works,Reefton danger corner

Post by z900/zx9 »

Well cross this of your list for the next few weeks i reckon, large roadworks resurfacing all the shit that was done like crap recently.
Chum creek road graders clearing sides of the road beware as dirt and dust can be all over the road as you round a bend.
Reefton pretty good just some small loose stuff on the mid stages of a full run, nothing major ,you will know when you hit this stage by the classic ting ting ting on your front guard.Appart from that sunny day pretty good run ;) Back to work tommorow 8)

There was one real safety issue i forgot,in the second part of reefton,Yellow line section the lefthand 15/25k corner that has a decreasing radius thereis a road hazard sighn.Yep its serious 2 large divits as you exit the corner enough to really mess you up.

was up that way early sunday morning , old mate on a newish honda thru it down the road and over the edge , missed large tree by inches
fair amount of litter on the road which probably contributed to his fall
but was otherwise unijured , cops were on reffton chasing a vw cagers group and solo bike cop near the cfa shed
apart from that was pretty quiet ... just another day in the yarra ranges
