Newbie on a misiion!

Post by baliusretro »

Hi Everyone, just joined this forum today.

As you will see from my signature I'm undergoing a restoration of a '97 Balius 250. The bike was given to me from my brother who owned it since new. The bike a few years ago had some teething problems, and my brother lost interest. Now I have inherited the bike after sitting in storage for the past 5 years. The main problems that were an issue years ago was the carbie's, tuning, etc. The rest of the bike is compete, with a bit of surface corrosion that will soon be removed with some elbow grease.

If you have any suggestions of mecahnics in the northern Brisbane area, it would be greatly appreciated. Once I get it back on the road, I am looking at styling the bike towards a 70's "Stone" theme with bikini fairing, pod air filters, etc. :)

Mike.

Thanks for the welcome, I'll try Darcy. He actually used to work on this bike, I was hoping there was someone in the Redcliffe / Caboolture area.

Thanks,
Mike

Hi, welcome. The Balius is a great little bike. If you are looking to change the style how about making it look like a baby ZRX complete with Eddie Lawson paint job.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.
