Cheap VIN checks
Cheap VIN checks
Hi,
I'm trying to check out a bike prior to possible purchase. I have the vin and rego number. I've heard rumours you can get them done for $3.95 or $9.95? Rather than the $30+ on car history.com
Myself and the bike live in NSW.
Any help would be appreciated.

so, $38 for more fucking useless paper!
so what was free, now because it was too hard and expensive, now costs somewhere between $8 and $40 for the same information, which of course is not warranted nor guaranteed.PPSR.com.au recommends all clients seek legal help before using PPSR. I heard from someone who worked on the system, that it is pretty inaccurate. And if your enquiry isn't specific enough and you have to try again it will charge you for every attempt - despite it being the fault of the software that can't accurately search its own database.PPSR.com.au recommends all clients seek legal help before using PPSR. I'm a bit worried about the project bike I recently bought. I was understandably wary because it was NSW registered and damaged. I only went through with it because I was told it was uninsured. The plate was still with it at the time, but was to be returned to the po in exchange for the keys. I was checking on the free page to see when it was cancelled ... and it went from being registered to "An error has occurred. The vehicle details you have entered are not consistent with RMS records. Please check the vehicle details and try again."
Just to see if the system was actually working I entered the rego of a friend's bike. I've known him for years and I always thought his bike was silver ... RMS says it is green.
