I don't really mind the occasional rider telling me I should be wearing a jacket or boots instead of converse allstars!

always been happy to squid up to the local shops or a short slow ride through the local suburbs - you take a risk every time you jump in the saddle anyway - personally I ride with far more concentration while squidding anyway .

Mate couldn't agree more. I'm 25. Got my licence when I was 17. And have worn all the gear and fuck all gear. At the end of the day it's the persons choice. Some days in summer you'd rather not sweat like pedo at a wiggles concert.

I don't care if you wanna squid, please be my guest. Like a few here I've done the occasional local run in a tee or whatever. The problem I had was with the way the little prick was riding, cutting off cars and lurching across lanes without indicators or head checks. Soon to be a crashed squid beneath some bloke's southern cross stickered ute saying, "another dipshit bike rider". What shits me is that the way he was riding whilst trying to impress everyone, makes us all look worse.

Guilty as charged....as most know, QLD has a pretty warm climate.

I do and have on many occasions squided wearing a T shirt on a short run...."but not far".

Never have I ridden in Chinese safety boots "thongs"... nor in shorts.

At the end of the day its your decision and what circumstances come from that....so be it.
