ARRC WA

Post by Phil »

Jamie Stauffer has qualified on the provisional front row for the races on sunday.

Jamie is 3rd, .5 behind giles on pole and .1 behind the emperor in second.

josh waters is 4th after the two practice sessions for superspurt so far.

anyone out there REALLY follow the Aus sbk scene............how good is scott charlton doing.....in amonst the factory guys on a privateer bike.

also....might be a big weekend for a young fella from WA - Brain Staring. I was really impressed how he went at eastern creek in his supersport debut year. home track - i'm expecting big things from him this weekend.

also benn archibald and john allen (my hero) are blitzing the field on their aprilia tuono naked bikes and the rsv1000r factory machines in pro twins. they have qualified 1.5 seconds faster in nakeds and 2 seconds faster in pro twins. go johnny (and he's a queenslander    )

EDIT: just been advised the post title on mcnews.com.au was incorrect. no sbk "qualifying" today, i thought it was strange as the qualifying is usually on saturday. all the other classes have a race tomorrow the sbk and ss guys dont. anyway they are heading out now for another practice session.

Jamie is 2nd after the 1st qualifying. Not too shabby. Unfortunately, I won't be able to stay up for the 2nd qualifying as it's 9 hours later here in California. Hopefully I'll wake up to good news.

josh waters has qualified second in superspurt, less than .02 behind the emperor. staring is 3rd (watch this kid) and chris seaton on the privatter machine is 5th.

Jamie 3rd in race 1.........behind giles and krusty. thats a podium in EVERY race so far.

Josh Waters finished with a 2nd and 5th in supersport to be 3rd overall in the title hunt behind the emperor and reining champ krusty ferguson.

looks like Jamie has scored a 3rd in the second SBK race in WA......he's got to have gotten closer to the top of the championship leaderboard tho.

If my calculations are correct, I have it as Brookes 126, Giles 124 and Jamie 116. Still waiting to hear if Brookes will lose "style points" for his re-entry to the race.

they are the points being displayed on mcnews.com.au.....that means he's 9 points closer to the pointy end than before.

Go Jamie!!!!!!!

He's got to be happy with that.. We'll I'm sure he's not because he'd rather in on top... But considering the ZX10 was his stronger ride results wise (I could be wrong but that's the impression I've had from '04) so he's doing pretty well.. Lets just hope he can get up and the 2 boys in front get atleast 1 DNF...

Anyone heard anything about Dan Stauffer ?

MCNEWS were reporting he broke his wrist and possibly forearm, but now say he is being kept in the spinal unit in Perth hospital. There's not type of good back injury but hopefully, its just a precaution and not serious.

I received this from Jamie's mother-in law:
Dan did receive quite a serious injury in the fall he had yesterday with 2 broken vertebra in his neck and 1 in his lower back. There is no spinal cord damage done though which we can be very thankful for. At this stage there has been no decisions as to what will be happening with his treatment.
Jamie has stayed an extra day in WA to see Dan. Haven't been able to reach him yet.[/quote]
