New to everything! Hello to all!
New to everything! Hello to all!
G'Day,
Hello to all! I'm from the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and new to the forums and riding. I've been driving for ten years and always wanted to ride a bike. Finally, a couple of weeks back I got my learners and picked up my first bike!!
Bike wise I got myself a nice shiny new 2013 Kawasaki ER-6NL with ABS. Given I have a few rather large hills in my area, and I'me a rather tall and heavy person, the 650cc gets me around nicely, that and I really do love the look of the naked.
Since picking it up a couple of weeks back I've whacked 650km's on the clock. Love being on the green machine! It's still all a bit surreal at the moment as I've always wanted to have a bike but never gotten around to getting my sh.. together and doing something about it.
Looking forward to meeting people and learning a lot!
Finally, here are some pictures of Big Kev the Kawasaki....

Guy Martin: Some lads love going to the pub, I don't like being in the pub. Some lads love shagging, I don't like shagging. I don't mind it, but I'm not into it. I'd rather just go and ride me motorbikes or me pushbikes.

I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..

Welcome! Good looking bike mate but don't get in the habit of sitting your helmet like that, otherwise it's only a matter of time before you watch it bounce down the tarmac...

Thanks mate, already noted, it was purely for the photo... I'm fairly paranoid about both my gear and my bike!Sparks_333 wrote:Welcome! I believe it is a very simple rev-limiter. Effectively a wire on the CPU - shouldn't be too much of an issue when the time comes. Though I could be corrected as I haven't looked into it to much, got a while to go with it in place. I imagine insurance would tell me to bugger off if I altered it before being off restrictions.AznCruiser wrote:cant go wrong with green....and cant go wrong with the bike.............is it just a simple restriction on it? Area wise, I'm out Mooroolbark/Montrose way.
