Crim fuel pump swap help needed!
Hi all, hoping someone can give me a few hints on swapping my fuel pump out. I've got the assembly stripped to what you see in the pic and I'm not sure where to go from here or how much muscle to apply?

Also I've just pulled it out and replaced it with a low km stock one off ebay because I was sick of the noise.

Thanks Mick. Got it sorted. I just needed to apply a bit more muscle. The body (black bit) was being held in place by the tight fitting O ring around where the pick-up fits into it. Sump was full of yummy sludge. Got my pump of flea bay for $80. Wasn't quite a direct fit. Same size but had a different connector. Comes with a lifetime guarantee though.

I can tell you it's noisier than stock even though they say it's quiet. I can hear it over the exhaust at 60 without earplugs in. I had to use the original filter as the one they supplied didn't fit. There is also a rubber boot under the filter you need to cut a piece out of. It has a different connector from stock, but wiring to match comes with it. So a bit of fluffing about, but if you're confident enough to change the pump in the first place it shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Crim fuel pump swap help needed!
Update for Wattie. After say 5 hours of run time the pumps internals have meshed with each other and it's maybe a little louder than stock. If it is it's not by much.

Re: Crim fuel pump swap help needed!
Update: the pump has dropped to half the pressure required. Bike would not idle or rev above 4K. Bought used pump from metro spares for $325. A little exxy but I didn't have a lot of choice.
