07 zx6r track bike
Hi guys
I bought this bike some time ago from another forum member you guys would know.
After having for a while I finally got a chance to take it out. I wasn't disappointed that's for sure.
I got the Steve Mudford to change out the springs for my weight and tune. Then put on the metzeler racetech k2 tyres.
Not much to do except learn to ride it better.
Here are some pics.

Almost all of that credit should go to the previous owner Jon13 who spared no expense in a neat build, all I can take credit for is keeping it upright in my time with it..2010zx6r wrote:No probs jonnoJonno wrote:haha awesome Frank, cracker of a bike that one, enjoy

Great bike that and good to see you've kept the sponsors / team stickers on it...

I'm always looking to head up. But all depends on weather.born green wrote:Cool.

Was up at broadford for Preston track day on the 3rd of November.
There's only three more track days with champions till Christmas. So I hope to get to two of them. I think there's one in two weeks. If the weather is good ill be going.

Re: 07 zx6r track bike
I need to do make some adjustments to the rear shock. How good are you guys at reading tyre wear? I believe from what I have read and watched on the web, that my rear shock rebound (fast) is too quick and rebound (slow) is too slow. When you look at the rear tyre you can see a gathering of rubber on leading edge of tread in middle of tyre. On the sides it's the other way round. The rubber is on the trailing edge. I could just take it to Steve, but I would really like to figure it out without taking it every time I want to adjust.

I think he was referring to The Art of Facades sticker. Some old bloke who gets on here sometimes owns the business.2010zx6r wrote:I put the team stickers on after I took the bike race numbers off.MadKaw wrote:Great bike that and good to see you've kept the sponsors / team stickers on it...

Re: 07 zx6r track bike
Well I was 51 since I was a kid, but when I started FX, someone had the number to 55 was an even number.StuMiller wrote:Why 55, 66 and 77?MadKaw wrote:
Madkaw was 75 on his zxr750, but then someone else had 75 at a race, and as he had spare 7's became 77.
Blurr was 80 for his birth year, but decided he would go 66 to match.
plus if you run double number, it means less spares required
