Thanks again guys...I do appreciate your feedback. :kuda:

Just playing the waiting game ATM..for the harness.
Hopefully then, you wont see me for smoke.

A couple more weeks of patients is required before then. ;)

*not* Castrol R ? Its the dogs bollocks mate ! I run this all the time in the S1 2fiddy - but this bike is also pre-mix, the oil pump was not fitted when I bought it.

I have heard a lot of stories about this stuff gumming up the carbs if the bike is not used regularly........not experienced this myself at all, and the S1 only gets dragged out for a club run or battery charging ride ;) - every 6-8 weeks or so ? Sometimes even less.......but not had a single issue with blocked carbies.....

Bel-Ray do a good 2T transmission oil - so do Castrol. I just use the Castrol 2T transmission oil from Supercheap, it works fine. ATF is OK as well if you can't get any proper trans oil.

I would steer away from synthetic or semi-synth oils in the oil-tank. These old girls worked just fine back in the 70's on 100% mineral oil, there was no synthetic stuff around then and the bikes didn't suffer at all.......

Absolutely agree with Gos with the synthetic Vs mineral bit,and for the same reasons.I also don't think the syn oil is really 'tough' enough for such 'basic' engines.

Just can't justify the cost of Castrol R for a road bike Gos,the motor just not working hard enough for long enough.Track work is a no brainer..........
