Probably just means you won't have succes with the SDRO so probably the LAC would be the best bet.

Having said that I had an offence tha wasn't listed on my record. You can get your record off the RTA. I think it costs about $17

I'd be surprised if you got a fine though. Your trump is that you've got a witness and the "why would I overtake a cop" reason.

Yeah I went to the RTA today I have a friend there, she had a look its the only issue ive had in 20 years. So I would think being a truck driver & bike rider. That would have to be an well above avarage record, Ive held all my points since 2004. Before that I dont think Ive ever lost any points at all.

Yeah mate would have to agree that although not 100% exemplary it's pretty damn close over a long extended period of time..common sense you would like to think would prevail & be taken into consideration if this matter proceeds to court..
That we all know doesn't happen....the judicial process is a lottery these days in my opinion. I hope you get a result s man because it's a superb 20yr record for a sportsbike rider where all it takes is a minor lapse of concentration at times..not to mention flawed entrapment & unscrupulous law enforcement.
The boy Youngs disciplinary record this week has been nothing but deplorable.

Thanks for the kind words young1. :)
Yeah I think its a pretty good record, of which Im very prowd of, & I would hope that would pull some weight in court, but the issue is. I didnt do what was claimed, & really my record supports that..
So it wait & see for now. Nothing in the mail today, so I hope thats a good thing.. ;)

Forgot to mention earlier, not that I think it will get that far but, if you end up in court make sure you DO NOT admit to doing 81 in an 80 zone.

The story goes like this ......

You will have to get in the witness box to give evidence other wise you lose straight up.
The prosecutor will be nice enough and get you talking about your speed and be interested in whether you were watching the speedo intensely to confirm whether you were speeding at the time, and of course you cant coz you gotta watch the speedo 100% of the time coz you gotta watch the road. The question then follows "Well isn't it possible that you could have been doing 81 kph" ...... Trap set 8)
You, wanting to be as honest as you can "Well it is possible I suppose" :?
SNAP! Admission of guilt
WTF? magistrate says "Well even 1 km over the limit is speeding so I find the offence proven." Thanks for coming buddy
Anyhoo the magistrate then gives you a lenient sentence because he/she knows it is a dodgy call but you have already taken a day off work, probably travelled a fair to and from court, and you may have even paid for a solicitor to represent you.

And the cop just laughs and laughs and :finga:

In all seriousness I really doubt it will get to this stage, but hey what else is gunna keep you awake at night new_all_coholic.gif

Yeah Im with ya, I can play the game, but in this case, its a matter of telling the truth. I really want to be the one slapping the cops arse, for making himself out to be a wanker. I have 5 friends that are cops
[4 detectives]& they are just great mates, ones even HWP, they even said you'll slap the GDs arse. Either way I wanna keep my good record intact. But if that come by slapping a GD cops arse, so be it.. I just hope it doesnt come to that.. :(

Wow Im glad you have a crystel ball & can tell the future, must be very handy. :?
I started this tread to get advice, which there was plenty & all great. If you are tired of reading it then dont. But by the amount of posts in here, there are a lot of people here that are very interested in how this might pan out.
I suppose in the end whatever happens, it will help us to understand the prosess's in place & how they can be approched from different angle's. So its wait & see, & with luck nothing will come of it. But if it hits the fan I wanna be the winner..

notes taken at the time or very soon after carry a fair bit of credibility in court, do you home work now and you wont regret it later
dont do it now and you might just be kicking yourself later
