I will have to dig it up mate - I have a heap of port maps for my RD350's and TZ350s etc - as well as the H2 and H2R over the years.......I am sure there is a map in there for a stock H1 as well ;) . Hopefully the port specs didn't vary too much between the original model and your model ?

My guess is not, this is a real science and tuners who know their shit do porting mods using a flow bench for best results. I reckon that your barrels have just had the casting imperfections removed and the ports tidied up. The casting imperfections can be significant on old 2T motors, cleaning these up is pretty easy and does make a difference to motor response......

Thanks Gos...my guess is as you mentioned.."I reckon that your barrels have just had the casting imperfections removed and the ports tidied up".

But would like to see the stock port map for a H1 and measure the port heights for my own curiosity. :D
I can measure mine tonight if you like Dave if Gos doesn't have any luck. I've got the top end apart sitting on the bench and mine look unmolested.

If you could that would be great Kev - I had a look tonight without any luck but only went through a couple of shelves......

Here it is Dave, I hope it helps. The ports definitely haven't been modified in anyway.

Please note drawing is not to scale :P

Thanks Kev....as Gos suspected, "the barrels have just had the casting imperfections removed and the ports tidied up."

Are your inlet/outlets dull or polished?

Both ports are dull and still in the as-cast condition.

Here's a couple of photos for you to to compare.

They are much better than my RD400 thats for sure. The casting was very shoddy, but have since been cleaned up.

Personally, unless you live on or near the red line, which you won't do for long anyway, the time spent doing the work to a streeter is a waste of time.
And effort.
I luurrve the smell of 2stroke in the mornin'.

More update pics as promised...

Barrels, heads, chambers and carb's all hooked up and ready.

Purchased some double foam pod filters from ebay...wasn't happy when they sent angled ones rather than the straight ones I ordered. :x
I'm now glad they stuffed up as the angled pods fit a treat. :D

Just waiting on the electrickery loom...the forks ears will be back early next week. :kuda:

The tins are being painted the original color...new repro decal set ready to go.
They have been blasted and at the painters as we speak....but my man is at Bathhurst ATM.
