Re: Big strips
Chicken strips are like comparing penis sizes. I know of at least two that did mid to high 1.40s on the old EC circuit that both left chickens strips. I also followed a rider doing 2.05 plus on the old circuit who dragged his knee through every corner. I was so "fast" I went around the outside of him on turn 12.
It means little until when you are at the party I am a bigger wanker than you, then the credibility kicks in.
Seriously an professional racer would laugh at just about any forum contributor in regards to ability.
Just remember those same embarrassing
Just about any professional rider would make a laughing stock of all that appear on any forum, it is poor form to one up one self based on 'chicken strips" Just remember they are the same that will help pull you bike out of ditch without judging the size of you chicken strips nor the size of scratches.
Just saying that I am happy that someone who can't lean as far as me I am happy for them to give me a hand home, that is what about riding a bike is about, sharing a passion, no matter how awesome you are

Just having a laugh on a forum, since when we're ducatis not designed 2 go around corners? I get more lean around the isles of coles with a shopping trolley.

Naked Twin
My original post wasn't about saying I was a better rider than the guy or gal that owns the Panigale but how could they own such a bike & not ride it as the maker intended.

Re: Big strips
Don't take it so seriously mate, I don't think anyone seriously thinks they are a better person than anyone else due to having no chicken strips.
People are just having a light hearted chuckle about the the stereotypical Ducati rider that doesn't ride his/her bike for its designated design.
Now we know that some do but the overwhelming amount don't,( most who ride any brand of sportsbike dont) mind you the last track day I did I was in the garage with two older blokes on dukes that could probably ride rings around the majority on here.... They where doing mid to high 30's at Phillip island.

Re: Big strips
Young1 and greenblod fair call. Some judge how good they are by whether they have "strips" and try to get rid of them by riding fast. That is not good idea when in reality you can rid of them in a car park doing 10klm turns by leaning against the bike, gets you plenty of lean angle
I just hope to own an overpriced Ducati one day, a triumph triple, a ZX7RR, a Binelli (can't explain why) an Aprilla SVX 450 or 550 (might need 2 based on reliability) an old original Z750, an SP2... the list goes on. None of them would ever be ridden the way the maker intended, but they would be ridden, enjoyed and admired
