front brake sticking?
Have noticed if i dont use my bike for over a week or so, it is hard to move out of the garage. Happened again this morning, and made a cracking noise from around the front brake region, once thats happened everything is sweet on the bike. Brakes work fine and have no further issues. has this happened to anyone else?

Did you put it away wet?
If the rotors or pads were we when you parked it, they stick a little.
Bleed wouldn't hurt, but I doubt you'd need to replace pads.

Re: front brake sticking?
Some noise initially but fine after a couple of laps. Could be the new Ferrodo pads. Dont think its an issue

Re: front brake sticking?
I've had it happen a few times with my most recent pads on the 6. Go to pull it backwards in the morning and it'll either crack, or it won't move, then when it lets go does a BIG crack as it lets go. I'll go back to SBS or EBC pads next time.

Re: front brake sticking?
If the pads are rather worn & thin that means the pistons are out of the caliper further & exposed & more likely to get rusty & start sticking
Well worth spending $30 to keep new pads in there regularly & reduce the rust problem

Re: front brake sticking?
Yeah that was the point I was trying to make in my reply to your first post but did not explain it with enough detail I spose, There is lots of good reasons why you should not run your brake pads right down to the metal like some people think its fine to do, She'll be right mate!!!
New pads & fresh fluid could be very helpful in a dangerous situation, They work much better & with less fluid to compress the brake feels more firm
What year is your ZX6R?

Sometimes brake pads can pop up cheap on ebay, I just search for the part numbers I need
