The shift is a hang over from catering to people used to Pommy bikes with RH shift .
Some old school racers prefered the RH shift so if a Jap bike had race pretentions they had the straight through shaft . TZ Yams had it for a while . Alternate shift patterns too , to really stuff you up

Received some more bits today and made some progress. 
New fork chrome inners, shocks,seals and tapered head stem bearings fitted.
Intend to refit motor minus the heads this weekend.

Had crack at lacing the D.I.D wheel rims....pretty chuffed with the result.
