Do u do this, and if so why?

Post by born green »

With the days getting better, well sort of  I dragged the zx7r out from under the blanket, and changed the front tyre, was shagged at 3000ks, mitchy pure... never again, well anyway while i was at it doing a few things she needs, front pads for one, i have had sitting in the shed for 3 years now, a brand new set of front disc's good old kawasaki ones sitting there in bubble wrap :)
So time to fit them, as the ones that were on it were, well shagged...
My question is..do u folks line the rotors up when u bolt them on?? and if so, why??
I always do, and have changed and fitted many sets over the last 35 odd years, but i dont recall ever reading any tech advice on wheather to do it or not... just wondering :) :)
I know some bolt holes dont line up on the hub, some will have a couple of different holes that line up ect. the 7 lines up on all holes.
Ive always done it, just seemed to be the right way to go..

I don't.... but that's because my discs last forever as I rarely brake!!! ;)

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Galfer recommend that you stagger the wavy discs....
