I actually have a work issue where blokes who work for our company - have to wear hi-vis in a specific environment 24/7. The problem is - so do 80% of the rest of the workers in this particular environment !! Now there are also a lot of other people moving about the working area who don't have to wear hi-vis......but the problem is simple. There is SO MUCH fucking hi-vis in this environment now - that it has become No-Vis.seiko1 wrote:......A non bike riding mate made a really good point on facey, flouro has been around so long and is worn by so many workers etc

Went to a work site, signed in ....
Company Rep. "Do you have a hi-vis vest ?"
Me. "I'm wearing a hi-vis shirt as supplied by my employer."
Company Rep. "Thats not acceptable on our site - you will have to wear our hi-vis vest."
Agree with everything youve said gosGosling1 wrote:I actually have a work issue where blokes who work for our company - have to wear hi-vis in a specific environment 24/7. Nobody can discriminate between any of the professions in this working environment which is actually starting to lead to the most ridiculous problem you can imagine - wearing hi-vis is now creating a safety issue !!
Its a fuckin joke. So many employers just think " OHS problem ?? No worries, just throw some Hi-Vis on the workers and that will magically fix everything.."
total bullshit in every way.
Years ago at Flemington Fruit Markets (Sydney), they banned the wearing of Hi Vis for the same reason. It defeated the purpose and was actually a hazard in itself......... These numpties today will never admit to that though.seiko1 wrote:A non bike riding mate made a really good point on facey, flouro has been around so long and is worn by so many workers etc
