Great to see Yamaha looking to the future by bringing in a young up and comer.

That makes Rossi a failure in my opinion, still a great rider no argument but has to admit now the Ducati was too much for him and Jeremy to sort out, credit where due to Stoner, still the only bloke that has been able to ride the Ducati decently.

Agree. This is an admission of failure.

Not sure about Dovi, I don't think he'd go there.
Crutch low will head for Ducati I reckon, as he is already talking to them. But I don't think it's a great move for him

Why would anyone (on the way up) go to Ducati if those that have gone before (except Casey because he's a real legend) have failed.

I did read somewhere that Yamaha wanted the sponsorship money that Rossi could bring...makes sense... :kuda:

Dovi prob not happy, he would have been eying off that seat, as we all know, he was hoping for a factory seat.

Think he will stay, and play the waiting game, it would be the best bike, bar a factory one anyway, and he has done well this year.
Reckon crutchlow will go to ducati, farrk knows why tho, wouldnt he be better staying where he is? maybe lot more money??? but is it any good for his future? only he can answer that.

Rossi back with lorenzo, could be interesting   read a interview with lin jarvis where he spoke to lorenzo about rossi's possible return, bet that was done after they resigned him   And i reckon rossi can and will win races, u dont win 9 world titles for nothing, and he will have a point to prove

Has been reported already that Dovi has signed but not confirmed.

It's been a revealing series of events for both Ducati and Rossi.
First, years ago, Ducati said that they would never put Rossi on the bike because too much attention and credit would be focused on the rider and not on the bike. Then they go and hire Rossi years later???.

We know how that went for Rossi. However it did highlight the arrogance of the Ducati team who thought it was the bike and their brilliant engineering that was responsible for the performance and winning races, not the rider. So at last they will have to eat so humble pie as well.
Interestingly Ducati (Prezioso) has approached a retired Japanese yamaha engineer (Masao Furusawa) to help fix the problems. He refused out of loyality to Yamaha.

Yer, but they dont do they, its been going on forever, remember when Gardner had probs with honda, cause they wouldnt listern when he complained about the bikes wayward handling, then honda with rossi, same thing.

I read a good story on why the suzuki GP team went belly up, they woulnt listern to paul denning, that was in a recent AMCN, good insight into the japs mentality :) :)

U would think when they are paying millions of bucks to the top riders, that they would take a bit more notice, seems to be that, as Denning said, their to proud to admit when they get it wrong.
