E-TAG.Help!

Post by webcase »

I got myself an etag a few weeks ago and have the cars and the bike on it.I don't carry it on the bike, because its just too stupid for words trying to mount it somewhere practical where it won't fall off or be knocked off. I assume ,and this is where i'm confused that by having my plate number and details that they would recognise me and bill me via plate recognition.I used the M7 and M2 last week but there hasn't been any sign of it on my account.Anyone know how these things work for us simpleton motorbike riders? Can't find anything on the account web page that helps me out.

Yep you're right, it takes a while though. I have a tag account with five vehicles on it and at the moment I don't have a tag that works so they all just get billed to the account under the number plate. My kids then pay me for the tolls they use.

Hot tip....keep doing it like that. If you go through a toll point in bumper to bumper traffic you never get charged the toll because they can't tell which car didn't have a tag ;) Did it for 8 years on the M5
