Bike work platforms

Post by timmyrocks »

Hey guys I have been looking into getting a bike work platform and am just wondering if anyone's using one and loves it or if it could be better if?????

My need are for it to support the bike upright while I'm doing oil changes and air filter an general cleaning etc etc
Also I am hoping to use it with my centre bike lift stand so I can take off wheels/forks/swing arm/suspension linkage etc etc
Anyone else do this? Is it stable enough?
Bike is a dirt bike so there not a ridiculous amount of weight.

If I remember correctly Kaneg was working on something similar??

Cheers guys :)

Phil has one that was a reasonable price and loves it. Leanne and I have been keen to get one for a while now, but were just waiting for the bank balance to get healthier before we buy it. Maybe we could organise a group buy.

Tim these come in at around $220 & depending on where your sump plug is you can access through the center hole ;)
Because of the height these go to it makes it easy for wheel changes 8)

yeah I considered making one but id prefer the hydraulic ones like nelso's links. Or one that could be disembled and stored easily.

I suppose I could make one and make it so it folds away.

was looking at one of those rob, but the sump drain placement on the 310 is in a pain in the ass spot and this stand wouldnt be any good.... nice and small though...

Thanks guys appreciate the help, now time to think
cheers

Yeah might have to stick with doing it on the ground. Would be much easier on the back with it in the air though....
Put price and practicality leans me towards the hydraulic scissor :)

How heigh roughly do they go rob?

I would definitely grab one of those at $350. I wonder if they would do a group deal at that price and if so, how many would be interested in one?
