QUICK QUESTION (SERVO BUDDY)
Just wondering if anyone here has made the servo buddy for the 10, as seen on ZX10R. net.
And how they found it to work.
About time i got rid of it the motor, looks way simple to do.
Cheers

Re: QUICK QUESTION (SERVO BUDDY)
I did it a couple of weeks ago, just used the existing wires on the servo motor, made the circuit, and plonked it in some surfboard repair resin in a little mold (little plastic bottle cut length ways so I ended up with a flat edge), let it set, taped it up glued velcro to the back and put it in the tray, took maybe an hour including letting the resin set, and works great, no FI light, and put the PC111 where the servo was.

Re: QUICK QUESTION (SERVO BUDDY)
1 resistor... 220-ohm- half wattducati_paul wrote:Got a parts list?
1 resistor...4.7 ohm- half watt
1 electrolytic capactor 470 uf-16 watt
Thats it, parts from jaycar, $1.60.. dick smith, useless.
I would post up a pik, but havent really tried, marty showed me a while ago, but forgot, and run a different program..
If ur interested, go to zx10r. net. i just googled it and it went to zx10r.net anyway. read it, way simple, its all there, only thing to be sure of, is the capactor only runs one way.
Soldered it up, tried on the 10, all good, than encased in resin, which i had anyway..
Cheers

Re: QUICK QUESTION (SERVO BUDDY)
yep, take off servo motor, i cut wires halfway along, between plugs and motor, in case it didnt work, that way i could resolder wires. so no cutting of harness, dont like doing that.ducati_paul wrote:So you used your original plugs?

Re: QUICK QUESTION (SERVO BUDDY)
Glad it went well and no problems, it's a really easy little mod, and frees up some space
