Just wondering if there are any 12 riders out there with helibars?
If so:
How tall are you?
are they worth it for long distance riding?
whats' required? a longer brakeline? a longer clutch line?
Thanks!
Nick

Definately
clutch cable, I think Hoffy used one from an R1. (I will have a look and see if re-routing the original will do.
No worries.GTH

Heh frog
I made my own helibars for the MFP12. They have about a 35-40mm rise. Pretty easy to knock up. I am 185cm tall.
Used the stock clutch cable - fitted no worries. Needed a longer brake line but this has more to do with using a Gixxer 600 radial m/c. You will probably need a new brake line even with the OEM m/c.
Makes a heap of difference - much more comfy on longer trips. I just found the cost of Helibars to be outrageous for what they are

Thanks for input everyone (including your gut smitty! .. i'll just drink more beer
)
i asked as i saw a second hand pair with included long clutch cable for a price worth considering....
I fit in the 185cm range so it's good to see it is a sensible mod
