2013 ZX6R?

Post by Kermit »

Image
"the Kawasaki ZX-6R is expected to evolve in 2013, following the path of its direct competitors and to have an electronic art. This would see a traction control, ABS a "track", a throttle-type Ride by Wire, etc ... As with any self-respecting sports, the weight lowered (maximum 190 kg with full tank) and increased power (130 horsepower). More info on this probable future Kawasaki ZX-6R in the Moto Journal No. 3934 where also focuses on the future roadster BMW R 1000 RR
Bit of a photochop, spec's sound good.

The specs sound good but an honest 130hp output on a reliable (and stock) 600 sounds like a bit of stretch... I reckon we'll have to wait till direct injection trickles down into bike engines before we see that. And it will probably start with the thousands anyway.

I think i'm pretty far from being a coach, if you get a chance tag along on a ride with wattie in it, ask him not to get out of second gear for a little bit. If you can do a track day, I'm sure one the regulars on the day would be happy to oblige with giving you pointers on choosing lines, finding the apex and form.

Congrats on the sale, have you decided what you're going to get next.

I dunno about 130hp being a bit of a stretch, current model claim 128hp & 134hp with ram air.

Stock on the dyno I've seen it vary 106-108rwhp, doesn't reflect what's happening at the motor though.

Yep, I stand corrected. I was thinking rwhp... forgot about the whole crank measuring bs. The fact I had just read about the Motocard ZX6R putting out 145hp didn't help thing either! hahaha
