Since leaving Melbourne - it has become *Australian* Motorcycle News. Not Victorian Motorcycle News !! Which is exactly what it was for the 50-odd years before it was finally skull-dragged out of Vic and into Oz !
I have been reading AMCN since the late 70's and have almost every edition from about 1978 onwards, in the 4th Dimension library. I have seen AMCN go through a stack of editors and without doubt KW was the pick of the bunch. I still remember when he did his first 'Wobblers Lines' way back in 1986 ?
But back in those days - you would get a 4-page report on some back-of-West-Bumfuck club enduro out in the Strathbogie Ranges - and a national roadrace title meeting *anywhere else in the country* would be lucky to get 1 or 2 pages - no pics and SFA results !!! Thank Christ we also had REVS Motorcycle News - based in NSW - to provide a balanced report of race meetings held all over the country and not just in Mexico !!

. VMCN as it was known everywhere outside of Victoria - was totally inward looking and gave many many pages of print to the most minor of club gigs down there and SFA for the most part on motorcycle news from anywhere else.
The magazine now runs a pretty balanced review of motorcycle gigs all over the country - which is exactly what it should be doing.
Back to the standard programming - looks like anything under 2 minutes at the new layout is going to be a good time ?
