Wunderbar! It blows my mind how this track operates the way it does as an almost free for all.Awesome and fantastic that the citizens there are treated as adults and can make up there own mind about riding from 0-250+if the mood takes them .Living in the great nanny state of NSW we can only dream of having anything even remotely, vaguely comparable.

Its impressive riding!

But not a stock road bike, northern loop, full circuit?

At 7m10s BTG, Andy Carlile is now the fastest man ever to lap the 20832m Northloop on two wheels. Back of a fag-packet mathematics would place that as a 7m28s full lap time or even a 7m24s 'industry' time (which is a full lap minus the T13 straight).

This started with the Nitron shock, which only showed-up the forks as too soft. So Nitron re-valved and re-sprung them.

The next single biggest modification are the wheels. BST carbon wheels have helped everywhere. Acceleration is increased, stopping is quicker, turning requires less effort and suspension has an easier time.

Corners would arrive in different gears, and questions would be raised over just which sprocket should I really use.

I have spent three hours lightening a headlight loom by 14 grams. Other victories include drilling plastic brackets, no detectable weight saving there as the scales only went in increments of one gram. It's tough to save weight. For example some titanium Akrapovic cans saved 1.7kgs, but then I had to fit a Power Commander to control the ECU and that weighed 400 grams. In isolation, shaving 12 grams off the clutch cable guide is kind of pointless. But all-up I've saved 11kgs through obssessive shaving, filing and drilling.

Dunlop also sent me some proper sticky rubber to have a bash with.

I don't see that, I see at the beginning of the vid are 3 brands advertised which happen to be some of the branded mods fitted to the bike.

Description of youtube video.
Bike is 100% road-legal and ridden most nights at the 'ring
Don't think so, with those mods mentioned in the article according to EU standards/emissions.
Fastest motorcycle lap of the Nürburgring.
Don't think so, its the northern lap.
This BTG lap time would convert to about 7m28s full, or 7m23-24s for 'industry' or sportauto comparisons.
Rothig must of had a really shit day on the 11" ZX10R with only mod being the R10's to be 22 seconds behind him.
